The ceramic plate filter is a specialized component designed for vacuum filter press devices, serving as a crucial element in the flotation units of various factories producing iron concentrate, as well as other metals and non-metals. These filters, made from alumina and other ceramic materials using a unique technique, are being produced domestically for the first time. The filter plates feature an intricate network of fine, interconnected pores—ranging from 50 to 200 micrometers in the main body and 2 to 5 micrometers in the outer coating. This porosity, combined with the capillarity effect, allows water to automatically enter the embedded channels of the filter upon contact with slurry, separating solids (slurry cake) with minimal and adjustable moisture content via vacuum pressure.

Ceramic filter plates are extensively utilized in the dewatering processes of iron, zinc, copper, nickel, aluminum, and gold concentrates, as well as in the separation of solids from coal liquids. They also find applications across various industries, including paper production, pharmaceuticals, chemical fiber manufacturing, food processing, and environmental protection.
