Cristobalite

Cristobalite is a unique phase of silica (SiO2) that forms at high temperatures, specifically above 1450 degrees Celsius. Normally, it reverts back to quartz at lower temperatures, making it unstable and difficult to produce. However, Mahan Sanat Company has pioneered a method to synthesize Cristobalite that remains stable even at low temperatures.

This breakthrough production process involves using specialized additives and controlled heating, resulting in a Cristobalite powder with exceptional properties. The material exhibits excellent shock resistance, high durability, and superior surface quality. It also has strong adhesion, abrasiveness, and high hardness, making it ideal for various industries.

Applications and Advantages

Mahan Sanat’s Cristobalite powder is utilized in a wide range of applications, including ceramics and refractory materials, the paint and glaze industry, as well as in pharmaceuticals and dentistry. It is also used for making temperature-resistant gypsum molds for casting non-ferrous metals.

One of the standout features of this product is its purity, with a level exceeding 98%. This makes Mahan Sanat Company one of the few producers worldwide capable of achieving such high purity. Moreover, due to the high costs associated with importing similar products and fluctuating currency rates, foreign alternatives are scarce and often come at a premium price. Mahan Sanat Company, however, offers this high-quality product at a much more competitive rate, making it an attractive option for various industries.

By producing Cristobalite domestically, Mahan Sanat not only meets the demand within the country but also provides a cost-effective alternative to imported products without compromising on quality.
